PRODUCT VISIONING WORKSHOP
In order to fully benefit from a thriving Scrum practice, we must continuously learn, adapt, and improve our skills. Many of us have taken a Certification class and are one among a team of professionals practicing Scrum on a business initiative or project, but without peers to talk to about the daily challenges, learnings, and solutions we’ve found to successfully implement Scrum in our dynamic, complex, multi-dimensional workplaces. If you would like to continue the conversation about Scrum practices and techniques in a learning environment, with peers who are facing similar challenges and who also bring unique experience and perspectives, we invite you back into the Work Is Good space to continue the conversation of delivering the highest business value starting with a well constructed Vision statement. This workshop is for new Product Owners, Business Analysts, stakeholders, and Scrum enthusiasts looking to continue learning new skills.
Be the first to try our newest workshop! All participants in the inaugural workshop can register using the “Pay It Forward” option, with no minimum donation!
Workshop Outline
This brand new 4 hour workshop will focus on the process of constructing a Vision statement, analyzing stakeholders, end-users, and consumers of the product or service. Participants will learn new tools for writing a Vision statement that will provide direction, grounding, and business justification to the team and stakeholders and allow the team to fully engage in the inspired, collaborative, and self-organized process of implementing a product or service of the highest business value based on a clearly defined goal or vision.
Through guided activities, participants will collaboratively create a product Vision document. The interactive workshop will use Scrum principles in the learning process; learning outcomes will be driven by the needs of the participants and facilitated by Lisa Montano, Conscires trainer and Scrum coach. At the end of the workshop participants will have a deeper understanding of the methods and tools for articulating a Vision statement for a product or service, will experience collaboration and teamwork, and will have the opportunity to discuss and critique peer-written Vision statements.
The following elements will be covered during the 4 hour interactive workshop
* Scrum in Practice: the course is designed to illustrate Scrum in action.
* Understanding the purpose, formation, and articulation of a Vision statement.
* Identify tools and processes for developing and writing an effective Vision statement.
* Define a process for defining, analyzing, and creating profiles of product end-users.

Participants Speak
“Lisa presented the SCRUM process in one day: Effective, Efficient and Enjoyable. I recommend her teaching.” —Patrick M.
“I attended a class on Agile that Lisa taught recently. She provided an incredible learning environment, using Agile tools throughout so that the concepts were not only presented in a didactic form but experienced as well. Never boring, Lisa is light-hearted and passionate about her work. She understands how to teach a class full of people with varying levels of knowledge in such a way that all participants were able to learn something new. I highly recommend Lisa as an instructor/presenter and would not hesitate to take another class from her.”—Pamela H.
