This 1-day course teaches the principles and practices that make Scrum effective at managing projects.The course itself uses the principles of Scrum, where the learning outcome is driven by the needs of the participants through a combination of expert instruction and self-directed learning. Opportunities to reflect and adapt the direction of the course are offered at regular intervals.At the end of the training the participants will have the confidence and understanding to begin to socialize Scrum at their own organization and support teams in improving their processes.

You’ve been hearing the lingo – Timeboxing, Product Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives – the list goes on…but what do these ideas really mean and why do they matter to you?
If you haven’t had the time or the inclination to commit to a basic introduction to Agile and Scrum, this introductory class will give you a brief look into the mechanics, roles, and principles of product development using Scrum.
Come prepared to participate and interact with the central concepts of Scrum including theprinciples behind Agile product development, prioritization, running a sprint, scrum artifacts, and communication and transparency in Agile organizations.
Agenda
The following elements will be covered during the one day course
* Scrum in Practice: the course is designed to illustrate Scrum in action.
* Understanding of the Agile Manifesto and what it means to them.
* Essence of Scrum: values, foundations and a new way of thinking.
* Understanding how Scrum values and foundations are related to the practices.
* Get a sense of what self-organization is (and is not).
* Can draw a diagram of mechanics of Scrum: framework, roles, artifacts & flow.
Who Should Attend
Any person who is interested in learning more about Scrum or wants to make Scrum work better for their Team or organization, is encouraged to attend. While the focus of the class is for people who want to learn how to leverage the Scrum framework to improve their business outcomes, any member of Team or the organization who is interested in how to use Scrum would find this class useful.
Typical attendees in the past have been managers, business analysts, architects, directors and other roles that support product development and the business.

Savita Pahuja : Savita CSM, CSPO, PSM I is based in New Delhi area in India.
I am working as a Scrum Envagelist in CSC India. I started my career as a developer and found it more interesting when started using Agile in the project. I want more people get to know Agile and implement it to make work more transparent, quality driven and interesting. Training Agile is my passion. I have good knowledge of Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban, Lean, XP and RTC.
